Thank you for visiting my site! I’m glad you’re here 🙂
ABOUT ME
My name is Mo, and I’m an educator and writer helping students, families and colleagues bridge the opportunity gap.
As an immigrant kid from L.A. raised in the Korean church, I struggled to find my voice. Writing was where I discovered the knowledge and tools to transform myself and my community: now, I’m passionate about creating spaces where young people feel safe taking intellectual risks, speaking up, and making a positive difference in the world.
Outside of my work as a classroom educator, college advisor, and group facilitator, I love exploring new places in the East Bay with my husband, writing and thinking about K-pop, tackling new problems at the rock climbing gym, and taking classes at Chabot College for fun!
Currently, I have the privilege of serving the city of Hayward as our third Poet Laureate, coordinating performances, workshops, and community events to promote the literary arts for all who call Hayward home.
